Pay in £1,000/mth payment

Options
We have paid off my partner's graduate overdraft at last (£7/month account fee for the priviledge) and are looking to move her bank account somewhere nicer. Considering the Santander account, however she only works part-time and her wages are just under 1k, £986. Would other payments in count towards the 1k (eg, child benefit or even a payment from me?)

Thanks

I can't answer your question, I'm afraid but just wanted to say that of all the banks, it seems to me that Santander seems to get the most moans about it on these boards...

Yes, it will. Any 'money in' within a statement period will count.

yeah, I have to admit that is putting me off somewhat
  • Hi Phil,

Yes, I think so. Thats the way it is with Halifax anyway, anything that goes in, regardless of where it comes from, counts. For every £1000 in, you get £5 "reward", if Santander aren't offering that you should check out Halifax!
