Debt Free Today!

Just made my final payment on my credit card so....now officially debt free!

Have been working on it for over two years (was higher than sig - actually £5k at worst), so is hard to believe it is here. Don't think it has quite sunk in that my money is now mine!

Anyway, just wanted to share! Hopefully my little news will help keep others going as hearing from newly DF other has with me :)

    This is just fabulous, and in just over 2 years from the lightbulb!!!!

    So now, how much were you slamming aginst those debts each month? And how much of this are you going to save (after a small treat of course as you deserve it ;-)?

    I suggest an instant access isa at first, which you can dip into in an emergency, to start building up your safety net. Join your work pension scheme of you haven't and they have one. Top up to the max they will match, if you have joined but are paying in less.

    Stories like this will just help spur on the newbies and show them the light at the end of the tunnel :beer:
