Painting wallpaper

Hi all
Doing my nut about this. I put up some embossed wallpaper and made a LOT of effort to line up the patterns on adjacent strips, also making sure that they butted right up against each other. At the time it looked fine but now the paste has dried the strips seem to have shrunk a bit and now you can see about a 1mm gap between them.
My question - is there any kind of 'thick textured' paint I could use to cover this up when I paint the wallpaper?
Thanks
Mark

You could use a filler. Gyproc easi-fill is economical, easy to apply and and easy to sand. Polyfilla will be too hard. Just use a scraper to apply flush with the paper. I guess you could use a damp sponge to wipe it off the paper, then fine sandpaper to get it flush. I don't know how this will look, so don't try unless someone confirms it works. Or try on one area, or even put up some paper in a hidden area and try.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0

Decorators filler just put a bit on your finger and run it along the gap it can easily be wiped off when wet no need for sanding0

Aka decorators caulk I assume. Yes that is probably much better than Easi-fill.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -
Thanks - that sounds excellent. Be a lot easier than ripping it down and starting again. Would Polyfilla be OK to use? Reckon I've got some of that in the shed.
Bl00dy irritating - the last time I did papering with this kind of wallpaper I did it so well the joins were invisible.

I would not use Polyfilla. When you come to redecorate you might find it an absolute pig to remove as it is hard and it sticks. Use caulk which will scrape off easy peasy. It's only ~£3 for a tube of caulk, and ~£4 for a gun.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -
you can use pollyfilla , such a thin line will be easy to get off , try a bit 1st and see what it look like , if it looks like the dogs dinner use a thin bead of caulk0

Have just smeared polyfilla all along the gaps. Not perfect, but a darn sight better than before. Now it is such that you only see something's not quite right if you know to look and look hard, rather than it positively drawing your eye like before.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou!
