Can I still claim charges

In March 2010 I made a claim for back charges. The bank replied saying "although we haven't changed our opinion about our charging policy, as a gesture of goodwill I'm willing to refund your charges. I will also add net interest at an annual gross rate of 8%, so the total amount we are paying is £222.41." This was a bit of a joke as the charges were much more than this, but we didn't have the confidence to take it further. They also said that if we wanted to go to the ombudsman we would have to do this within six months of their letter. The money supposedly went on to our debt but as we are on a debt management plan I don't know if this happened.
Could we re apply?

If it's for bank account charges you were lucky to get anything back as it is now entirely at the bank's discretion. On what grounds do you think you could reapply? There is no valid legal argument against bank charges at the moment and you have already accepted an offer from them.0

The FOS are no longer considering bank charge complaints other than incorrect application of charges or financial hardship criteria (and even then they just ask the bank to make a goodwill gesture but cant force them). However, with 6 months long gone, you cant go to the FOS anyway.Could we re apply?
