Had to set bios everytime pc start even change new battery?

I had a problem with my pc. everytime i start my computer, i had to set again and again my bios setting even i change to a new battery. I think its a bios problem. maybe need to flash the bios again. the type is PhoenixBios d686. Any ideas?

try leaving it pluged in to the mains by all means turn pc off ,but leave mains turned on see if that helps,
it might be the capacitors loseing power and resetting the bios,if its old
or
i could be a duff battery,you get them from time to timethere or their,one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0
