Triton Cara 9.5kW electric shower

I have had an electric shower installed for nearly a year now. We always use the high setting but just recently it is too hot when on number 1. The bathroom light flickers and then the water gets boiling for a few seconds then the water goes freezing for a few seconds then the bathroom light flickers again and the water gets boiling. Sometimes the bathroom light doesn't flicker and the water is just boiling on number 1. The only way to have a comfortable shower is to have it on econ on about number 5 - the water isn't very powerful at all on this setting. The main stop tap under the sink downstairs is open fully and no other appliances are being used to draw away any cold water.... help would be appreciated....

With it going hot and cold like that and the light dimming etc its a sure sign its over heating, probably down to low flow / scale build up, if you turn the power off and water off there should be a scale filer fitted in the incoming pipe...IF its been fitted take it out and clean / renew it. If you cant do that and the problem persistsget in touch with Triton if its still under guaraneteeYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0
