in Techie Stuff
A few have posted about this Thursday's 75% of sale in ikea in the grabbit section, but thought I'd put a post on for any one who has suffered "growth" in PC related stuff like me over time in a room that is meant to be for another purpose (dining room in my case), but wants to instantly hide it all away within seconds.
One of the products featured (most stores but not all so check)
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/store/croydon/sale
is the Alve corner workstation and is reduced from £265 to £66.25. I've got one (paid full price) and can honestly say it is the best thing ever. It is quite a big piece of furniture, but it is tardis-like also - I have a desktop and laptop KVMd, 22" monitor, laser printer, photo printer and separate scanner, plus all the discs/books accumulated and two elec strips (one for phones/cameras) I've had it so long I can't remember whether it was a !!!!!! to put up (supect so) but it has just lasted 7 years so far, and does exactly what it says on the tin. Desk bit pulls out for keyboard etc, and it has big holes (bigger than plugs) at back and on main area for cables, and corkboards/pins on it's doors).
Apologies if anyone think it is an inappropriate post for the techie forum, but can't help thinking it will helping some like me who have tons of techie stuff. Sal xx
