Hey all.
Im moving into a new build house soon, and was wondering who would be the fastest to install a new line? BT have said they can come out in just over 3 weeks, which I think is a joke! Are there any places out there that dont use BT to install the new lines?

All 'providers' have to use Openreach and, supposedly, OR cannot give any priority.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

And 3 weeks is really very good-in the days before privatisation you could wait months for a new line.
If you don't want BT, your only alternative is VM cable, if available. No free lunch, and no free laptop
