She won't get a letter, but she can check her status on the Insolvency Service website

I called the insolvency service when mine finished and they sent out a letter confirming that everything was in order and than I was discharged from all the listed debts. This letter came in handy when 'cleaning up' credit files. If it wasn't for the mistakes I made in the past (and learned from), I wouldn't be who and where I am today. It doesn't matter if you've cocked up, what matters is that you put it right and apologise. x0
