We have just had a call from BT offering us a new deal on our Broadband with them
Only to be told 5 seconds into the call we can't have it as we have already got it!!
Yep - they called us to upgrade our package to the package we have already!
Very clever!!

"BT" and "Common sense" are only used one way in the same sentence:
"If you've any common sense, you won't touch BT with a bargepole".0 -
Did it save you any money? They rang and offered me £3 off a month. I said well cancel it that's no good so they went back thought about it and offered £9.50 off in exchange for a 12 month contract.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Have to say, they have been great with me. I have a 10GB broadband usage deal - £15 pm, but have been massively over using recently as our TV and aerial are on the blink and we are watching iplayer a lot, so our monthly bill for over usage has been £40-£50. BT rang today and said that they had noticed, and would offer us unlimited BB for £20 pm thereby saving us £20-£30 pm. I intend to continue using iplayer (all channel equivalents), as I like the freedom it offers, so it's a really good deal for me.

Still not that great...Plus net, for example, do 60GB (which ought to be enough for plenty of iPlayer!) from £11.49 - less than BT were charging you for 10GB...0 -

We're now getting weird letters from BT threatening to cut us off (which they obviously cant as we're not with them anymore) as we havent paid our bill. We're actually waiting for our final BT bill so we can pay it. I rang them yesterday to tell them, wish I hadn't as it was like pulling teeth. Thats 30 minutes of my life i'm never going to get back.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'
