No, I haven't put this in the wrong forum! I am very impressed with Argos.

I have recently bought two beds from them (on two separate occasions). Both times delivery was well before the time stated on their web site. I got a call to book the delivery in a good week before and the deliveries were on time with very polite and helpful delivery staff.

With delivery only costing a fiver I was most impressed.

I'd like to second the delivery service from Argos!!

I was looking at under-counter fridge and freezers from Comet and had odd measurements to keep to which limited my choice, they charged £44 for delivery, couldn't deliver for 3 weeks and we were moving in last Friday. I then found exactly what I was looking for in Argos, cheaper than Comet, delivery for £4.95 and could deliver Friday afternoon.

Friday came, delivery expected 12-6pm, man called me up at 10am and said 'I'm in the area now if you want it early'. I took him up on the offer and the units were delivered by the most pleasant and polite delivery guy I've ever had (and he carried them in on his shoulder like they weighed just a few pounds!).

Go Argos, let's see more of you in the 5 star service board!!

I also have nothing but praise for argos. During the summer i ordered a trampoline for my DS, delivery was 35 days. 2 weeks after ordering had a phone call, was argos to arrange delivery, came within 21 days

Great service.

yeah the same happened to us when we ordered a fridge at 8pm online, the websitte told us it would be 4-6weeks but it was delivered in the afternoon the next day!

Another 5 star service for Argos. Ordered some items yesterday and opted for the Saturday service which states delivery between 7am and 5pm Fully expected to have to stay in all day but the doorbell went at 8.30am and a lovely delivery man carried my boxes in for me.
