Did you receive other bills from E.ON before you left them or is this the first one you've ever had?

    Hi varietyspice

Not sure what to say about this without a bit more info.

As stewie says, is this the only final bill you've had or has there been others which have been wrong/disputed?

Have we been in touch previously about a problem or has this bill come out of the blue?

You may have a case under the Billing Code if you're a domestic customer and we're at fault for not providing or attempting to provide a bill for such a long time.

If the Billing Code does apply, we will not charge for previously unbilled consumption older than 12 months from the date the account was corrected.

However, each case is looked at individually and depends on the specific circumstances involved.

I would talk to one of our billing teams and see exactly why this bill has been issued.

Sorry I can't be much more specific varietyspice but struggling for detail a bit here.
