Hi
I am not sure how to do links, but this is the questions:
As promised this month we are running a bumper Christmas quiz about the events of 2006. Take the first letter of every answer and re-arrange to form a well-known phrase heard often loudly at this time of year.
January: Name the country that announced two human cases of avian influenza in this month.
February: The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated which team to win the Superbowl by 21-10 this month.
March: Ang Lee won the academy award for Best director this month for which film?
April: Which country marked the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power station disaster in this month?
May: Finnish monster rock band Lordi were the surprise winners of which music title in this month?
June: England secured their place in the knockout stage of the 2006 World Cup with a nervy 2-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago in this month. In which German city was the match held?
July: George W. Bush is reported to have greeted Tony Blair with this phrase during the G8 summit in St Petersburg, Russia, on 17th of this month?
August: NASA's released details of a new manned space exploration vehicle due in 2014. What name has it been given?
September: Surname of popular Australian conservationist who was fatally wounded by a stingray in this month.
October: The Scissor Sisters made it 4 weeks at the top of the UK singles chart early in this month with the first track taken from their album "Ta-Dah". What was the name of the song?
November: At the US midterm elections held in this month which party took control of both the house of representatives and the senate?
December: Which chain of cafes, hotels and casinos, was purchased by the American Indian Seminole Tribe of Florida this month?
I have the answers as:
Turkey - January
Seattle Seahawks - February
Brokeback Mountain - March
Russia - April
Eurovision Song Contest - May
Nuremburg - June
Yo! Blair - July
Orion - August
Steve Irwin - September
I Don't Feel Like Dancing - October
Democrats - November
Hard Rock Cafe - December
Which would leave
T S B R E N Y O S I D H for the anagram
Any help appreicated!

I have no idea mate. Sorry0 -
Looks quite challenging but am going to try & figure it out, the first thing I have spotted is:Fit_Like wrote:September: Surname of popular Australian conservationist who was fatally wounded by a stingray in this month.
I know it doesn't make a huge difference, but it does make the letters:
T S B R E N Y O I I D H
EDIT: I think the answer is: "It's behind you" - with the answer for April being Ukraine & not Russia0 -
found this on GoogleUkraine Marks 20th Anniversary of Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster
T S B U E N Y O I I D H0 -
I think I've figured it out, first of all it was Ukraine not Russia that is the answer for April, plus I think you missed the surname part of SeptemberFit_Like wrote:September: Surname of popular Australian conservationist who was fatally wounded by a stingray in this month.
That then makes the letters:
T S B U E N Y O I I D H which spell out:
"It's behind you"0 -
Very good - Panto season! Well doen:)0

I have been trying to work it out for two days - would help if I read the questions properly re the surname and the Ukraine - serves me right for just assuming it was Russia!
Many thanks again!

Thanks again for that - its not drawn until 12th January, which right now seems ages away, but I am sure that it will come round quicker than I think!
Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year when it comes. Fit Likeee!:j0
