withdrawing cash using American Express

Hi,

I have an American Express cashback card. I was going to buy some holiday money for my cashpassport card but travelex don't accept it. Can't I just withdraw the money in cash using the card and do it that way? Would it still be treated as a withdrawal (ie. I still get the 5% cashback)? Would this be wiped out by any cost of the cash withdrawal?

many thanks ;)

No you don't get the cashback.
You will get a 3% fee plus 27.9% interest on cash advances.
An expensive way to get cash.
Do you have a debit card?
