You have lost the right to reply if you have tried to repair them your self with superglue. Should have left them be and then complained"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0

I'd have to agree with the posts saying you've invalidated your claim for a repair by trying to fix them yourself.
Before doing this, you would have had a very good claim under the Sale of Goods Act for a repair/replacement/refund. By trying to fix them yourself, it does seem that the company have a right to refuse repair.

I agree with Rex. However can I suggest to take the boots to a cobblers to see if they can fix it, it may only costs about a fiver but at least you get your boots and have a few months if not longer.
I find superglue useless anyhow, the only thing is seems to stick properly is your fingers

I am in the camp of agreeing that by gluing the shoes you have accepted the boots and therefore have no comeback.0

That really sucks. I've had a pir or their boots fall apart too, their stuff must be really crap quality, and their customer service has been rubbish in my experience0
-
Yeah I agree their customer service is pants! I bought some crystal decorations which cost me £8 but they weren't packaged and arrived all chipped and scratched! I emailed and they said I would have to pay to send it back recorded, I took it to the PO and they said it would be £5.30, so hardly worth it for a refund!! I am not gonna buy from them again. I think their CS is shoddy.0

What disgraceful customer service- remind me never to shop in ASOS.
I would contact consumer direct for advice, and then email ASOS customer services again. The goods are not fit for purpose, and I would push for a refund/proper repair at their cost.
I would be steaming! I really would pursue it further.
Good luck!0 -
I'm having a nightmare with ASOS too, I ordered a pair of black boots and received a pair of wooden platforms instead, then - after making me post them back at my own expense - have dispatched my original order. A pair of BROWN boots have arrived! Argh! I now have to post these back, at my expense, again, to get a refund. It's a total joke!0

Suggest you make a new post about it rather than drag up an old post from 3 years ago. ASOS have done a lot in recent years to improve their CS and I have never had an issue with themI'm having a nightmare with ASOS too, I ordered a pair of black boots and received a pair of wooden platforms instead, then - after making me post them back at my own expense - have dispatched my original order. Also suggest e-mailing them and explaining everything. They normally give a money off voucher0 -

Surely if Asos made the mistake you shouldn't be out of pocket? They really should have paid for the shoes to be returned to them. I would ring them and state that you are not prepared to send them back at your expense because it is their mistake and that they should arrange to collect them or send you the covering postage.0
