New window frames or just reglaze?

Options
I'm thinking about moving house next year so getting any essentials done in my current home this summer. We really need to get the windows replaced on the rear of the house as they are all currently single glazed with some in quite poor condition and I believe fitting double glazing would increase the value (or at least make it more desirable) - looking at about 1300 to do the four rear windows.

The quandry I have is with the front of the house. This just has 2 large wooden double glazed windows which would be around a grand to replace with upvc. The current double glazing has quite a small gap between the panes and is misted inside but the frames themselves are in reasonable condition. Is it worth the outlay to replace the whole thing or should I just fit new glass units? Hmmm

Based on some other posts in the past If they are wooden I am guessing the cost will be just as much to replace the units as it would to replace the whole window, If you do replace them atleast they will match the back ones your going to get done.

I would be tempted to get the misted panes at the front replaced and have new replacement windows at the rear.

UPVC windows won't add any valus to the house, but may make it more saleable.

Yeah thats kind of my thinking too, will have to cost up the replacement panes but cant see they would cost too much and fitting them is surely a job I could manage myself (I have replaced single glazed putty beaded glass before)
