Cannot Redeem DVD on itunes

Options
Help.........son just got ipod touch, which this site helped me in linking to my orange router - way hay !!

Now have another problem.......can anyone advise / update me on redeeming a dvd we bought (Night at the Museum 1 + 2) on itunes ?

Have inserted disk and whilst I am running itunes, it tells me I need a higher version, namely version 7.......we already run on version 10 or higher !!

Also when I insert my redeem code that came with the dvd, it seems to take me to my apple account where it displays my credit card details.........basically it looks like it will charge me again for the download........unless of course it goes through as a free purchase, but not willing to take that chance.

Anyone out there who can help /advise me ?

I also had a problem with a couple of the DVDs I've bought. One was definitely Night at the Museum. I'd put the code in but then the page seemed to freeze or go really slow, and then eventually tell me that the code wasn't valid or something. Looking at my purchase history, all three of the films I managed to redeem have been billed at £0.00. I got receipts at the time but they were all for £0.00.

I eventually ended up getting the bigger WMV files off the DVD rather than faff around on iTunes.

I did this by opening the DVD on my computer, using the right hand click and 'open' option rather than actually playing it. I'm using Dragonball but I'm assuming the DVDs are the same. There's a folder called 'DVDROM' with a subfolder called 'Media'. Inside this folder is a HQ version of the film and also a portable LQ version. You can click and drag whichever version you want into your videos folder.

I know it's not quite what you're asking but I hope it helps in some way.

Remove your card details from your iTunes account, then try again, that way it can't charge you. An iTunes account without any card details or credit is fully functional, apart from not being able to pay for stuff ofc.

Ask Apple for support - they can also reverse incorrect transactions.
