Samsung praise

in this world of doom and gloom and bad service I am pleased to report excellent service from Samsung. Okay so I now realise that the fault with my telly, an LE40R74BD is a known fault due to a faulty capacitor and that they may be legally responsible, but the telly was over 5 years old and it was off to the tip when I checked online to see what the problem was and was directed to phone the Samsung customer service number. I was dealt with in a courteous manner by Lucy and after giving model number and rough date and location of purchase I was phoned back within 5 minutes to inform me that a service engineer would contact me to arrange a foc repair. They called a few minutes ago and he will call Thursday. Marvellous!

i too have nothing but praise for samsung. out of warranty fridge freezer repaired within 3 days and free62;)0

We must be the unlucky ones then....we too have a capacitator issue on the telly ( apparently a well known fault with Samsung) but despite a call they are not prepared to do anything.
Looks like we will be looking for anything but Samsung in the future:(0
