Advice please!

Hi need some sound advice.

About a year ago i decided to use Ismart a PPI company to reclaim my missold PPI on my egg loans.

I filled out the intial application form and sent it two them 8 weeks went past and i hadn't heard a thing. After calling numerous amouts of times a finally spoke to an agent who informed me that my case had not even been looked at. I said that this was not good enough and i didn't want to use them he said just put it in writing which i did. A few months later i then received a letter from them asking me to sign a finical ominibus form to give them access to my information and could i provide egg with a copy of my marriage certificate. I rang them again spoke to a lady and she logged it all on the computer and i then sent them another letter.

I haven't heard anything until recently when they started sending me the same letter about my marrige certificate. This time i ignored them untill today. I received an invoice for £530.00 for a cancellation fee. I rang them an said i wouldn't pay it you haven' t done anything and i never had. He told me that he will take it further and that i agreed to the cancellation policy at the start. I dont remember signing anything of a sort just filling out an application form at the start?

Please can someone help how can the charge me after i didn't go ahead with anything?

Blimey, so sorry to hear that.

I assumed money was only payable if your case was successful!
I don't quite understand how claims companies work but maybe you could contact the Claims Regulation (Ministry of Justice) in regards of this matter and see what they have to say.
