I've got to go on air tomorrow for an opportunity to win £1000 by answering 10 questions in a minute. I'm absolutely terrified though .
Has anyone heard this show and have any idea on the sort of questions they ask?
I have absolutely no idea what I'm letting myself in for, I've never heard it, and to make matters worse, I took the call on my mobile and lost the signal just as the guy suggested that I might like to spend this afternoon thinking about.....I don't know what! I tried ringing back but there's no answer.

i've been on a similar one before on brmb, all sorts of questions i got 8 of out 10, a couple of history questions (what year was the great fire of london) a couple of pop related questions the ones i got wrong was the chemical name for chalk and the largest planet in the solar system. Nothing i could have revised for really, hope you win! lots of luck!

Is this the same one that gets broadcast on Smooth London ? (i.e. with Simon Bates)
I was the first person to win the £1,000 minute on Smooth London back on New Year's Eve 2009

I think they give out the answer to 1 of the next day's quiz on the Drivetime show (4-8pm) and another about 7am-ish (so about 40 mins before they call you up to be on the quiz)
So, it's worth listening out for those 2 answers, then you only really need to answer 8 in the morning

My questions ranged from "Which Beatle had the middle name Winston" to "What are plimsolls"

I think they're a bit harder now

If you look on the Smooth Radio website, I think you can play the quiz online for fun - they have old questions up there. That might give you an idea

goodluck with it. I've done something like this on one of the stations... sadly didn't win the £1000. There are normally topical questions and then general knowledge. maybe check out the news, who was headlining glastonbury, who is playing at wimbledon that sort of thing. Goodluck xxxx
