Can anyone please supply me with the calculation? I have a mechanical meter (rotating counters). I presume from the previous responses that it does not read the number of kwh used. Does that apply to both gas and electricity meters? Both of which are mechanical. Many thanks

Or if you have your old gas bills over the past year it states how much you have used in kwh on each bill, just add it up (as mentioned no conversion needed on electric).

If you get really stuck phone your supplier and ask them, I am certain they will tell you how much energy in kwh you have used over the past year.

You may not be getting such a grand rebate as you thought unfortunately, and the quotes will be very low - what you thought was a few hundred on your meter could be a couple of thousand in kwh.
