Does being on D.L.A (Low Rate MOBILITY) automatically qualify you for a Blue Badge?

Hi there,

I currently have a Blue Badge for "Purposes of easy accessability incase I need to go to hospital quickly" - I am on High Rate CARE and Low Rate MOBILITY (Disability Living Allowance).

I know that they have tightened up the criteria to get a Blue Badge. I also know that if one is in receipt of High Rate MOBILITY, they are automatically qualified for a Blue Badge. My Friend informs me that the same goes for Low Rate MOBILITY too but I cannot see this being the case.

Would anyone know if my Friend is correct in what he says in that Low Rate MOBILITY (*A*L*O*N*E*) will undoubtedly mean correspondance for receiving a Blue Badge?

Many thanks.

mental issues dont make you require blue badge. plus being parked so close to shops means it will be more crowded getting in and out of cars. so anxiety would be worse.

i suffer from this and i prefer to park on top floor of multistorey carparks to avoid the hussle and bustle of people.

HA OP failed again.. guess she wants a blue badge so she can surrender the allowance that goes with it for a new car..

poor girl.. she got figured out. just wait till the benefits team figure her out too and come knocking at her door. then see how that effects her symptoms..

knock knock "you owe us all your benefits back"
    reply "but im bankrupt"
"your mother isnt so lets investigate her too so she will have to pay it back"
reply "but she going to claim bankrupcy too"
"well see you both in court and then the womens prison for 12 months minimum"

ha ha.. remember those words, its gonna happen...

    inheritance..

no that was the £20k they syphoned off credit cards into their dads account and then she going to get it transfered to hers as a inheritance so she dont have to pay tax.

bank fruad ontop of benefit fraud. damn.. if we can all figure it all out without having government access to accounts and records. just imagine how easy it would be for the government to do it.

she dont realise that she only free right now because she is smart. but purely because the investigators have a pile of other clients to look through before reaching her file.

but its in the pile. EXERYONE gets reviewed..

investments. of over £16k.. say goodbye to benefits.. then they digging will begin.

hows your anxiety now love. is it really worth the ££

I do feel sorry for people who register various different accounts on this forum in order to troll a few people. If we look at it in a serious manner instead of just brushing them off as "trolls", you would probably find some sort of underlying issue which might actually mean they are entitled to some sort of disability benefit.

They're essentially the same as the people you find on these women only sites, who claim that there husband is abusing them, or some sick story about their child being ill. Mentally ill people who do genuinely need help, so next time you reply to a thread like this one, just remember that whoever wrote this went to a lot of effort to come across like they do, and have some underlying mental issues that could cause problems in later life.
