hey guys,
looking for a bit of help please with cosmetics.
Does anyone know if cosmetics that use ALOE BARBADENSIS
LEAF EXTRACT use the latex part of it?

absolutely no clue, but you might get some of the walking beauty encyclopaedias on the beauty board who know these things!:happyhear0

The aloe leaf consists of pericyclic cells, found just below the plant's skin, and the inner central area of the leaf, i.e., the gel, which is used for cosmetic products. The pericyclic cells produce a bitter yellow latex. The gel contains polysaccharides, which can be acetylated, partially acetylated or not acetylated.

The paragraph quoted seems to be saying no.
And speaking as someone with a diagnosed latex allergy, I have never had any reaction to aloe vera gels.

thats what I was hoping for!
Apollonia, I dont think I have used alloe vera since I was diagnosed. its good to know you have never had a reaction.0
