Update... My co-worker is working her notice this week, she is able to claim contribution JSA without any issue as her youngest is under the age of 16.
Her information given was that the law does not state an age for leaving children overnight but guidelines are under 16's should not be left overnight, her DD is 17 so not classed as an appropriate adult so she's not to worry about being sanctioned. this should work out well for her as work have put her on the books as seasonal to keep her in the loop but are just waiting for a position on the day shift to become open for her.
With all the nightmare storys flying around about the jobcenter i guess she got lucky0
