Can I ask where the £600 rent comes from, as she is living your ex - house with a mortgage and secure loan.

She wil be giving up the house and moving into rented accomodation, i've finaly persuaded her its the best option.

I made that SOA from that link and edited it, is there something wrong with it?

It is just easier if you format it for MSE and post it that way, the majority of SOA`s are done this way and are easier to follow, but if you want to leave it the way it is that is up to you:)

So basically all the figures are made up as she is not living in the rented accommodation yet, SOA's can only be done with the figures you have, they cannot be estimated.

No the rent and council tax are estimated, everything else will be the same. fuel cost, school diners, hair cuts, holiday allowance, groceries, clothing, etc, etc, these are the things im trying to get an idea of what she will be allowed, and will not change wether she stays in this house or rents one on the next street. And of cause its an estimate because untill the OR says its allowed you just estimating what you think you need to survive ;)

No they should be the figures you use, not estimated to the maximum as most of these allowances are.

    Not quite Correct.

The person concerned would need to put down exactly what their expenditure is....if it is lower than what experienced folk reckon it to be, then perhaps it can be added to?

If higher, then.....if it cannot be reduced, there is room for negotiation between the BR and the OR over the matter.

It would be a shame if an estimate was used, but subsequently the BR found they had a good argument for the OR to allow more.....which could have meant the difference between having an IPA agreed...or not?
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

Then why not give everyone the maximum and say argue your case with the OR for every allowance. As you know the OR will go through the SOA with you and allow or not allow, filling an SOA before speaking to the OR is pretty irrelevant. It just gives you and the OR a starting point, but can/will be adjusted anyway.
