Who will have to ask you the same information you have to tell themselves and stick it in a template letter you can download for free and then put a second class stamp on it. Then after doing nothing else after that, they take 30-40% of what you are paid.

Tell the truth, don't make things up or embellish. Don't have perfect recollection when you dont.

The bottom line is that you have a complaint reason that is as close to 100% as you are going to get for getting redress. Single premium MPPI is bad. Monthly premium MPPI is good. You have the bad. You just need to state that you were charged single premium MPPI and as it was added to the debt, you have paid interest on it for the next 25 years (or however long it is). You then ask them to refund this as it was mis-sold.

About 3 sentences should do the trick. It really is that easy.

Can I ask please is a single premium on an unsecured loan considered as 'bad' in the same way & therefore more likely to be considered for getting redress. Thank you!

If you are charged interest on it then yes.

Thank you!! Gives me more hope that we will get our money back. We were only quoted one repayment for the loan and this included front loaded PPI and interest on the PPI. Just thought it was the norm at the time!:o

    Thanks again!

This is where a claim company is likely to do you damage. I recently had a case where it took me a less than two minutes to obtain categorical proof that something they claimed the complainant had told them was blatantly untrue.

It is very difficult to give somebody the benefit of any doubt elsewhere if you know they are capable of being untruthful.

Not quite that straightforward - it IS possible to defend a single premium MPPI if the Mortgage Code Good Practice guidance was followed - but most firms do not seem to even be aware of its existence.

Provided the policy was taken out on or after 14 January 2005 you should win. If it was before that and the firm either never went on to be regulated by the Financial Services Authority or no longer exists you may not - but otherwise the odd seem to be in your favour.

hi again everyone, recieved a letter today stating, in 2004 when the policy began the company in question (not the same one as we took the policy out with)was not a member of the gisc so they do not propose to comment on this vexatious complaint,as they have no recourse to the f o s, in addition the complaint is statue barred, i now have x amount of time to responed, i have seen a few threads which seem to be in the same position without any outcomes being posted, any advice on a course of action would be appreciated
