Hi,
I'm completely new to forum posting so please excuse any mistakes in respect of etiquette etc.. - I'm not even certain that this is the appropriate forum for my problem!
I have just agreed the sale of an apartment in Mallorca where, obviously, the transaction will be completed in euros.
I have a Banca March bank account in Spain and a Halifax bank account in the UK.
The various options for getting the sale proceeds back to the UK in sterling are quite confusing and I'm keen to ensure that I don't get 'shafted' either on fees or rates, especially as it's quite a large sum.
Does anyone have experience of a similar situation and advice on how best to proceed?
Thanks in anticipation,
Adrian

We have used Currencies Direct to move money to and from France, went very smoothly and you can ask them to move the money when a decent rate is available. If you are moving a lot think about making several transactions a week or so apart then if they go bust you only loose one transaction.0
