in Credit cards
i've signed up a few days ago, what should i be looking for on the report before i cancel the trial?
i can see a list of credit agreements which are either open or settled?
i decided a while back to do away with credit cards and have nearly paid them back so should i start closing unused cards?
is there anything else i should look for on the report before i close it? to be honest i havent found anything on there i didnt already know?

I think I can see a problem. I've clicked the yellow credit agreements icon and it lists all my previous cards etc. Out of all my cards there are only about 2/3 late payments, from many years ago.
I still have lots of cards open. Just credit cards alone I have £44,520 available credit, of which I am using about £9k and rapidly paying it back.
My £9k debt is only over 2 cards. So its pretty obvious I should phone up these other companies and close the unused cards?
I actually have no plastic as I cut them all up and shredded any statements / letters to stop me using them again.0 -
could you not transfer balance to 0% to get 9k down quicker and save interest costs?
Make sure you cancel as I had a nightmare of a time cancelling on of these "free" credit report things.
They still took the money out of my bank account!0 -
to get the 0% deals I would get rid of some of the unused credit, they will see it as a riskDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Hi,
I called to cancel my free trial today on the phone number listed on the front page of your report when you log in - 0844 335 0550 Option 3. As i expected they convinced me to stay but they offered my a further 12 months for free and after that my subscription will only be £2.99 per month!! I have set a reminder in my calender to cancel in 1 year but at least for now I can see my credit report for a year for free!!
