Hi they should send you a "we have recieved your letter" reply within 2 weeks, you could be looking at 16 weeks for a conclusion to this though. We post our reclaim letter yesterday so firstplus should receive it today. Its a waiting game now. Is there a time limit to which firstplus have to respond?
Hope fully you will hear before that time, this ppi is a win,so let us know how you get on.0 -
Well today we received our letter from firstplus acknowledging receipt of our complaint. They have said we will get a reply by 28th October . This is longer than normal due to the amount of ppi reclaim cases they are dealing with. The fsa have agreed to give them an extension of the usual 8 weeks. Hopefully it won't take this long and they'll agree to paying me back. Fingers crossed.0

Time is running out for FIRST PLUS to contact us regarding our complaint. They have 6 weeks left. The clock is ticking!!!! I have just looked at our loan agreement and have tried to work out how much we should get back. If and when we get a figure to accept I want to know that we're not being ripped off again. I have read that even when FIRST PLUS do make an offer they are still ripping people off and attempting to make money from innocent people. I don't want to accept the first offer they make if its not right. Can anyone help? The loan was taken out in January 2008. The figures are as follows
Cash Loan £65,000 PPi Loan £15,918.50 Total £80,918.59
Monthly repayment inc PPi £739.19
No. of repayments 300
APR 10.5%
Can anyone help with this please.0 -

Ok, at today's date you have made PPI payments (including interest) of £6,107.64
The 8% simple interest on those payments equates to £929.99
So, you will get a refund of £7,037.63 in cash
Then your future loan repayments will reduce to £593.77 after the future PPI and associated interest is removed. Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0
