Beware of of this firm who run Edinburgh Investment Trusts and the Dunedin range, amongst others.
They received my request to sell holdings on the 5th December. These were sold the following day, 6th Dec. Setlement was due to be made three days later (why?). On the 19th Dec I received their cheque, which was indeed dated the 11th with a covering letter dated the 14th and the envelope post marked 18th! That cheque will now take time to clear. It would appear that they have gained nearly three weeks interest for themselves, and totally ignored my original request to transfer the money dirctly to my account.

Looks like they made a mistake on that one.
On the other hand I have dealt with then for years and never had a similar problem. Looks like you had some bad luck; so tell them about it.0 -
