Help! Random bill from Scottish Power

Hi everyone,
I moved from a flat that had a pre-payment meter with Scottish Power to a flat that has a 'normal' meter in October 2010. I called Scottish Power as they were the supplier for the new property and provided the meter reading etc when I moved in.
Today I received a letter from Scottish Power billing me £136.10 for the property I had lived in before (the billing period corresponds to the period I was living there.) I don't understand how I could be in arrears because I paid with a keycard, and did not receive any bills when I lived there! Also the address is correct apart from the postcode.
Has anyone else had any experience of this? I don't know what to do and I am very worried

Presumably you did contact the supplier and give the meter readings when you moved in and moved out?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Update - they've now sent a revised bill (for £2.46):rotfl:
I don't mind paying £2.46, but it was a pay as you go tariff using a keycard, so no meter readings. I'll get on the phone to them at some point to get to the bottom of this! Thanks for the reply. You can take the girl outta Scotland, but you can't take Scotland outta the girl! :A0
