Santander Bonus £100 - Transfer Salary

Hi.

The MSE website states that to get the £100 bonus you need to:

...use its 'Account Transfer Service' to move across direct debits and standing orders, and pay in your salary of at least £14,200 (there's a £2 fee if you miss the £1,000/mth payment). You should get the bonus within three months.

Yet the Santander website states:

£100 cashback when you switch your main current account to us using our dedicated Switcher Service, have at least two direct debits or standing orders set up on the account and pay in at least £1,000 each month.

Does this mean that I can simply transfer £1,000 from my current current account to the Santander account, or do I actually have to pay my salary into the Santander account?

Apologies if this has already been asked. I did use the search function and scoured the first page of this forum, but couldn't find a related topic.

Salary is used as an example only.

The £1K can be paid in via any method and immediately withdrawn if you so desire.

However immediately is a relative term with Santander and their £250 maximum for faster payments.

Thank you for the £1,000 related information and thank you for the heads up on the £250 daily maximum money transfer. I have applied for the account and will just be careful to make sure that there is enough money in the correct places, at the right times.
