transfer limits with natwest

I'm trying to help a friend out with a debt problem. I need to transfer £2.5k to their bank account. We both bank with NatWest and I was wondering what the limit on FPS is them. I know when I was with A&L the limit was £450. I want to check so that I can do multiple transfers if needed.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

    I think its £10000, so £2500 shouldn't be a problem
Debt free and staying that way!

I bank with Natwest and it's a £10,000 limit per day.

Must be a very good friend!

If you both bank with Nat West then it won't go by FPS, it'll be an internal transfer. No idea what the limit for those is but I'd be pretty confident that £2.5K will transfer successfully.

It depends on how they do they do the transfer.

If it's in branch, they can do withdrawal/deposit which is straightforward, and requires a card/PIN for the account being withdrawn from to make things go smoothly :)

They can use the Faster Payment system in branch and online, only if they have a card/PIN.

Regardless of the method of payment, from past experience it is pretty much an immediate payment.

    The FP limit is £10,000.
Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion :p

It'll be processed the same way though - via Chip and Pin, the same way as if it was an altogether different bank.

Sorry to jump the thread but I have just joined natwest and was wondering, does anyone know if Natwest allow FPS to a halifax credit card? as halifax wont allow this!

    Thanks

The issue is that Halifax do not allow incoming faster payments to the sort code used for their credit card collections.

    Check here :-
