Can I play AVI file movies via LG TV USB?

Hi,

I have the following TV - LG Model 42PJ350

I have a few movies in avi format on an external hard drive.

The manual for the TV says that as soon as the USB is plugged in, a menu will appear - which it does. BUT, only Photos or Music. The option for Movies doesn't appear?

I can navigate around the contents of the Hard drive, and can see the file, but can't click on it to play?

I have tried both the hard drive & flash drive, and have also placed the avi files within separate folders and not, but have the same problem.

Is it possible for me to watch these movies on my TV?

Thanks
