Thompson & Morgan E-Coli Link (Alleged)

UK officials are investigating reports of a possible link between a UK seed firm and an E. coli outbreak in France.
News agency AFP said 10 people have been affected by E. coli in Bordeaux.
It is thought a number of them had eaten rocket and mustard vegetable sprouts, believed to have been grown from seeds sold by Thompson and Morgan.

Rubbish if you ask me.
The French are notoriusly over sensitive and funnily enough there is never a question of anything being wrong with their produce.

Sprouts are easy to get E-coli infected. You have to rinse them every day and if you haven't washed your hands properly after the loo, you can easily transfer the infection onto them - and then in the humid conditions, it'll grow. The seeds themselves aren't usually the problem, its the way in which they're grown.

I have never heard of E-coli affecting seeds and THEN growing infected plantations. Typical of the frogs, heaven forbid they are to blame for infected produce, akin to Germany blaming Spanish cucumbers, only to realise they themselves were to blame, I expect nothing less from the French, they will be blaming the British soil next.
