Blackpool in July

Im going to Blackpool in July with my partner and 2 boys (5 + 6).
I'm looking for suggestions:
where to eat?
things to do?
We've got 2 'energetic' boys! and a small budget!
The zoo is £46 for us all, is it worth it?
We did the tower last year so i'm not sure if they want to do it again.
Thanks

My goodness, if you've been there before you'll know it's all there - everything you can imagine. Why bother spending dosh? Take them down to the beach with buckets and spades and let them run mad until they're tired out then they will sleep while you party!0

last time we went we only had one day to fill so we went up the tower. This time we have days to fill, we live on the coast so the beach is not very exciting to them since we go there almost daily/weekly.
What can we do if it rains?
is the water world excitng to non swimmers?wouldn't it be nice if i won : car/cash/family holiday

Hi
Where abouts are you planning to stay ??
The Sandcastle is fine for non swimmers.
You can easily spend a day in Blackpool Zoo the family ticket is £46 but you should get 10% off if you book online. The food is expensive in the zoo and not that great so personally I would take a packed lunch.
At Cleveleys which is just next to Blackpool there is a new ice rink and also a Vue cinema

There are loads of indoor attractions at Blackpool. I'm not one for going into things like that but you can see them all along the seafront. There are also always shows on in the piers. Perhaps matinee performances?0 -
the zoo is a great day out
the tower is being done up at the moment due to be completed around september so not currently sure about how great it is at the moment but will be good when finish.
try not to eat in the town centre can be pricey and not amazing but all depends on what you want.Make £11,000 in 2011 challenge - £120/£11,0000 -
We are going to be staying at the norbreak castle, ice skating sounds good (our boys have never been before!) as does the zoo with our packed lunch (i'll check out the 10% off online), the boys will have their trunks with them, i'll have to remember to take my costume, hopefully the weather will be good for uswouldn't it be nice if i won : car/cash/family holiday

wat age are the boys?
i take my 2 kids every year, the sandcastle is good however very pricey, book online for discounts, the tower has seperated all its attractions, i would suggest the circus, its fab and roughly £8 per head!
stanley park is a fab day out too, there are boat rides, and good play areas. the zoo isnt that great, well it wasnt the last time we were there, and the food is majorly expensive, take advantage of the pizza hut kids eat free deal, and there is a fab restraunt in coral sand that sells great meals at great prices.
when itcomes to the pleasure beach the kids passes are good value but we normally just buy day passes as adults and purchase vouchers once in its a bit cheaper, again food is expensive but pizza hut is just outside.... :-)0 -
Three are plenty of discount vouchers round for the circus, sealife and tussards. you can also pick up the a5 whats on in Blackpool produced by blackpool gazzette, it has discounts for lots of food and places.
