How do I choose a PC Monitor

Dad wants me to get mum a flat screen monitor on his behalf.
I haven't a clue what I'm looking for and mainly going by price.
I know she needs a 17'' and have been looking at the following
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=7028
£99 from staples
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6702553.htm
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1782992553.1166562860@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccedaddjjhmkfhkcflgceggdhhmdfjf.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=301551&category_oid=
http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=342394

Any suggestions would be fantastic

PS If I reserve and collect and put in a code is that the price I pay when I go to collect it?
TIA
d

I would probably go for the LG one. They normally make decent monitors and it has a 3yr warranty. I like the Advent one because it's got a built in tv tuner but not sure what they are like as a make in general.

The price you see will be the price you pay :)
  • We just bought an Acer 17'' from Tesco for £108 which has a very very clear and sharp picture and we are very happy with it.
