Try the online places like Blackcircles, look for Quidco offers, then ring round a few local places.
Camskill.co.uk have some good online prices, but you need to add 10 pound a corner for local fitting.

Budget often surprised me with their deals.

Not local so used as a benchmark for a price match unless we were heading that way anyway.

Every time we went there were queues of people.

My local independant tyre place is cheaper than the online places for my tyres anyway.

Khumo for £54 when the cheapest online was £68.

+1 for the independants, find out where the local taxi drivers get tyre's (the one's who own their own cars).

Elite in Rainham undercut the online places for every tyre size that i have looked into for the last couple of years.

Costco are a good bet for Michelin tyre, they have increased prices recently, only a couple of quid, but have a 20% off when you buy 4 tyres till the 3rd of July. I can get 4 205/55/16 Michelins for well under £70 a corner.
