Personal details used to obtain credit fraudulently - Santander

I was suprised to recieve a letter from Santander Card Fraud dept. this morning saying that it appears that some of my personal details have been used fraudulently to obtain credit, however they 'do not hold [me] responsible'.

They say they have registered the information with CIFAS.

They advise that future credit applications through other lenders may a little longer to complete.

The CIFAS leaflet indicates that a 'CIFAS - Do not reject - Validatation required' should have been put on my credit records.

I will scan a copy of Santander's letter into my PC for future reference. Should I do anything else? Thanks in advance.

Robert
