Thanks - the exam went quite well, I got enough marks to be able to do what i wanted.... I'll let slip once everything is confirmed (or not) in a few months. Don't want to jinx it!

It's been a quiet few days money-saving wise.... I've sold 7 items on Amazon in the last week, netting £24 which will be paid out on Tuesday. Got £15 from eBay over the last week, still waiting for 1 to pay tho.

I have a free weekend this weekend! That's very unusual for me - Think the first thing I'm going to do is have a lie-in! It'll be the 2nd one of the year... Then need to go out for a cycle. But can hopefully list an awful lot more things on eBay. I'm hoping for a free listing weekend, then I can re-list all the things that haven't sold previously to see if I can get some muppet to buy my stuff! Been a couple of weeks since the last one. Also need to go sofa shopping this weekend. My current sofa is utterly knackered. Normally I'd just live with it, seeing as I don't have any money'n all, but I have tenants who pay pretty top market rent, so have to provide quality furnishings for them. Will hopefully get a good deal on the sofas, and can put it on the 0% M&S card.

Busy day! Had a wonderful lie in. Slept til 9 then sat in bed reading, which I haven't had a chance to do in months. I rearranged the living room repeatedly to decide what sort of sofa arrangement to have (decisions decisions!). Have finally decided, and narrowed down the choices online. I'll pop to the shop tomorrow to have a sit-test on all the short-listed sofas, then will hopefully find something I can 1)afford and 2)like!

Have also relisted 21 items on eBay, and listed a further 17 items. Phew!

Is there something wrong with the traditional "sofa on floor" and "people on sofa"?

Lol. I was just trying to work out how i could fit the most sofa space into the living room.

I popped to the shop and narrowed the list of 8 down to 3 after actually seeing the sofas in the flesh (Do sofas have flesh?). Then went back home to remeasure properly, and see which sofas (small 2 seater, large 2 seater, 3 seater, 4 seater, cuddle chair.... so many options!) would fit in the living room, and also give me the most seats.

Finally worked out the options, and the sofa I finally settled on happened to be the cheapest! (I obviously did that to be MSE..... it didn't happen by chance at all... honest...). One of the others was too squishy, and the 3rd was too expensive. So need to work out how to dispose of the current sofa....

eBay seems to be going ok so far. 7/38 have watchers, including 1 which has already sold.

I've been a member of a weight loss site for years, and haven't used it in quite a while, so thought it was about time I canceled my membership, it's not much money, but is still an outgoing I don't need right now. When I cancelled, it said I was paid up until January 11th 2012, so this is an ideal oppourtunity to finally lose that 2 stone I've always wanted to! I have until Jan to use the site, and lose the weight, then that's it. So if I can manage about 1-2lbs/week with a few blips, then I should be able to make it. I like a good goal to work towards!

Also am still a member of LoveFilm, and I jsut don't have time to watch the DVDs. I have 2 credits, so am going to use those up watching things online, then will cancel.

If you're not using it, you won't mind losing it.

Well done on getting all of your debt onto 0% cards. Nice one. Hope that get a good result for your exam. And a nice save on the sofa, hope it is nice and comfy. Can you write any of the cost off against tax if you are a landlady?

Hmm that's a good point Chev. Replacements of fixtures and fittings are tax deductible I think, so might be able to which would be great! Will find out.

Been a bit of a slow week really... Cracking on with surveys, but don't seem to be able to qualify for many! I need some kids! :p
Up to £15 on Onepoll, but need £40 to cash out - might hit that this time next year! Up to £10 on Vivatic, so I can cash that out, but will wait a little longer to see if I can get any more added to that. Mystery shopping has been a non starter - there doesn't seem to be anything in my local area :(. eBay is currently on 15/38 being watched, with 5 of those having bids on, current total is £12.87. The best things are my two 10 year old mobile phones?! Guess people in the know use them for spares and repairs?

Had a pretty good weekend. It poured down both Sat and Sun morning, but was lovely in the afternoons, had a nice cycle outside on Saturday, and went rock climbing on Sunday with a friend. Realised both were pretty much free activities :D . (Except for the pub dinner on the way home on Sunday :o)

Sold another 14 things on eBay at the weekend, making £55 (not including postage). Have now transfered £100 from paypal into my account. It was free listing at the weekend, but unfortunately missed it as was too busy. Never mind. Will work this week on getting more things listed ready to go live at the weekend. Think things sell better when they finish at the weekend, rather than random evenings. Also gives me Sunday to do all the wrapping!

Transfered £10 from a survey site to my account, and made another 3 sales through Amazon, who have transfered ~£28 into my account this week. Will update my signature when all the money clears.

Paid the deposit for my new sofas, and will pay the balance when it arrives in a few weeks. Not too happy about putting the cost of the sofa onto my signature, as it's the house debt rather than mine, I keep all the finances seperate. But I guess it'll probably be me paying for the sofas - so will add it to my signature :(. That's going to take me over 10k in debt

Pay day Thursday! Looking forward to boosting my savings account and redoing my signature :D

£28.86 cleared from Amazon sales, and I also added £4.01 to round down my account to the nearest fiver. I swear the rounding down of all my bank accounts is earning me the most money!

Still waiting for Paypal and Vivatic payments to clear.

Made another Amazon sale - wants me to send it to Australia! Hope Amazon asked for enough postage :S

Have finally managed to book the test for my Advanced Driving Certificate. It's something I've been wanting to do for ages. So here's hoping I pass. Your car has to be in pretty good nick (at least so it passes the MOT!), and mine currently has 2 gouges across the windscreen where my wipers seem to have damaged it. Have now replaced the wipers - but my insurance company are refusing to replace the windscreen under my glass cover, so instead of paying a £50 excess, I have to pay £216! Very annoyed :(. Oh well, at least it's cheaper than the first quote I got of £503!!
It's booked in for repair tomorrow, and the test is next week, so will need to give the car a once over at the weekend, and remind myself of the advanced driving techniques (!) then hopefully I'll get my certificate :D . You get graded as a pass or fail, and if you pass you get Bronze, Silver or Gold level.

    At least it's payday soon...
