Been tidying and eBaying today. Had another trip to the tip/supermarket to recycle carrier bags. I don't know where they all come from?? I've finally got rid of all the bags I've been hoarding for the last 5-10yrs "just in case I re-use them". Had to take some household waste down to the tip as our bin is full, and we had another 3 bags appear as a housemate moved out yesterday. We've started on 2 week collections here, and I forgot to put them out the first week, so we'd never be able to fit those 3 extra into our bin too.

Listed a ring I'd forgotten all about on eBay, an old bf gave it to me. Also a brooch and a pretty little silver folding knife. Hopefully they'll all pique someone's interest. I've been having lots of questions from someone about the briefcase I have up there, so hopefully they'll decide to put a bid in.

I was going to do a car boot tomorrow, but I really need to polish all the jewellry I'm going to take first, and quite frankly can't really be bothered. Will try my luck Easter weekend, once I've sourced a suitable table to sell my wares off!

Going climbing outdoors tomorrow which should be fun :D . Have a new housemate moving in tomorrow as well, I gave her the keys today, so will just have to leave her to it as I'll be out!

Oh for pete's sake. eBay have just informed me that they've cancelled my "antique engraved silver folding fruit knife" listing as you're not allowed to sell knives on eBay. It's only 6cm long and highly doubt it's sharp enough to cut through one layer of skin, let along stab someone... Humph. S'pose I'll have to take it to a jewllers.

Be thankful, I was in a shop today, and I saw a pizza cutter (not the wheel type but the big plastic triangle type) with a sticker on saying "For sale to over 18's only."

I feel the streets getting safer already.

    Stick it back on. It's not a knife. It's a peeler... ;)

Lol - I like your peeler idea. Think I might be too law-abiding for that tho.. they might recognise the photo and ban me forever!

Have been working like a mad thing all week. We're having a quality audit of our lab books at work sometime soon, and mine was waaaay out of date, so spent most of this week updating it. After pulling some late nights it's finally done and all up to date :) . Work is quite good at the moment, very busy, but it's nice to be busy and have things on the to-do list.

I took this afternoon off, as we have flexi time at work (:j), as I had organised to do some mystery shops. Lol- taking time off job 1 to do job 2 is definitely a bit potty... but needs must... Managed to get all the shops done easily in time - I was a bit worried it'd be a squeeze, so that's another £50 to add to the coffers.

Also FINALLY managed to sell the super-lovely briefcase I found when I went home for Christmas. It had lots of watchers, and a few had been in contact with questions so I had high hopes. One person bid quite early, with the starting fee set at £95, but she wanted it to be sent to America which i was secretly dreading having to do. I got quite a few emails from a woman from Saudi Arabia, asking what postage was. I did a quick google and said cheapest I could find was £70 based on my estimate of the weight/size as I hadn't parcelled it up yet. She told me that when she bought her "McClaren pushchair" it cost far less, so I offered to drive home from work in my lunch break to measure it properly and get an accurate price, so she'd just about have time to bid before it ended. Figured if she started bidding, it could push the price up :) . So drove all the way home, worked out it'd actually be £55. Drove back to work, the woman said an email saying thanks and then never actually bid. Instead it went to some guy in the UK for £97. So much for a bidding war... Glad it's sold :) . Also listed a posh-branded cardi that I bought on a mystery shop, a silver brooch I have and an old ring that an ex gave me. They all have watchers which is nice, with the cardi having a bid :j. They end Saturday, so really hoping that they all get bids.

So did all my shops and got back home. Figured I had just enough time to package the parcel and post it. Then decided I wanted to cross another thing off the to-do list - I had my car serviced last May, and they never stamped my book. Been meaning to pop to the garage ever since. I had 17mins to do both jobs as both the garage and the post office shut at 6. Dashed to the garage and they kindly obliged with a stamp. Literally ran back to the car, and dashed across to the post office, where I arrived at 17:59, parked up in the "drop off only zone" (I still feel guilty!) ran into the store through the exit and just about made it to the post office.

Felt very pleased with myself for getting those jobs done in the nick of time. Popped across to the petrol station as my fuel light had been on for 24 of the 25 miles I get (!), and saw a sign showing the post office opening times. Thurs - til 7pm. Oh for....
