World Record Pool Marathon - for Heel and Toe
Options
Hi all,
Me and a friend of mine are planning on attempting a world record pool marathon in aid of Heel and Toe(search Heel and Toe on google) which is a charity located in County Durham.
This will start at 7pm on 31st July till 3rd August 7pm.
The current record, as stated on Guiness World Records, stands at 52 hours and 25 mins. There has been other attempts since, but nothing official.
We plan on continuously playing pool for 72 hours straight, with only 5 mins break each hour, at a venue called Stateside in Consett, Co. Durham
It will be shown live on webcam with details to follow soon.
We hope to raise as much money as possible and you can donate here:
Justgiving . com / recordpoolmarathon(could an admin change this please?)
You can find more info on facebook - type in Record Pool Marathon in aid of charity
And Twitter: @poolmarathon
We are also planning on doing a raffle during the event(selling tickets before the event too) with the raffle taking place shortly after 7pm on 3rd August.
We will be looking for donations from local and other business for prizes for the charity.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated and should get good publicity out of it, as we are already in talks with a local tv station to film the start and finish of the event. As well as this, we will be feature in several newspapers and magazines.
If anybody local gets on here and would like to help, please get in touch.
Thankyou for your time.
