Scottish power sudden bill of 2.80

Hi all
I have recently moved (28 apr). I used to be with Scottish Power in the old place.
The last bill was taken on 27 April. Nothing was taken in May.
I am in the process of changing banks, and I cancelled the direct debit whih I saw was still active.
Immediately I got a letter demanding 2.80.
I called SP who said it was showing up on the system as not owing anything, I could ignore the letter and he would make a note on the system.
Surprise surprise I have now received another one.
It just states that payment of 2.80 is now due, there is no actual bill (and my online account has stoped working)
In the green box it states: "Make your final payment of 2.80 by calling etc"
Any suggestions? I will obviously give them another call when their lines open again but I wonder what good that will do.
