Just wondering like me I am using Vanquis credit card to create a 18 month credit repayment history, my limit has increased, but out of interest, which credit card would look at your history with vanquis and 'maybe' offer you one???
Also I have Capital one.
Also I have Capital one.

I have had both Vanquis and Capital one, but wanted rid of them, applied for Flybe and was accepted, they started me on a low limit, but are supposdly quite easy to get.
I got rid of it and applied for a Virgin card and was accepted with a limit of £2500. I have had this for a year and needed another card for travel with work as a back up and applies a month ago for Tesco, was accepted by them and got a limit of £2000
I would try flybe or virgin
Hope this helps.0 -
This is useful to know, thanks.
I have a £3000 limit with Vanquis (about £2300 balance) which I will clear over the next five months. I too want to get rid of it and hope to be applying for something more mainstream in Spring next year. Also have the Barclaycard which should be more mainstream but am not sure.
It's not about credit limit (I don't want much credit) but rather status that I'm seen as being more credible.0 -
Why might you want the Nectar CC? Are you looking for something specific or just any mainstream CC for the sake of it?0

Why not try Sygmas Creation Card?
0% on balance transfers for 17 months (3% fee) - was only 12 months recently?
That'll help shave that £2,300 balance down quicklyI spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Is your credit history clean for the last six years?
I had Vanquis / Cap One and Aqua. When my history was squeaky clean I applied, and got, a Halifax Clarity card.
I then closed Vanquis and Aqua.
I recently got an MBNA Amex card for cash back and a Tesco card for the 0%.
Capital One will be closed now. Please note that any posts that I make on here are based on my personal opinion, experience and what I have read.0
