Southern electric say we're paying too much to BG??
I got a knock at the door the other day saying we're on a high rate tarriff with British Gas and we should change suppliers (he took a long to time get to the point though).
I never thought our bills were particularly high but out of interest I went on a comparison website and the most we could save by switching was £70 but we would have to pay BG £60 to leave them before Feb 2012.
He had a list of our names, addresses and tarrifs and was saying how it all comes from the same place anyway, what does it matter who's name is on the bill blah blah blah.
What I want to know is what this guy was on about? I'm just a bit confused really. Anyone else had this?

We had someone from southern electric last year. They actually did ask to see our bills, and even offered to give us money to pay off a debt to E-on so we were free to leave them, and owe the money to them instead. That made me a bit catious to start with, that and the fact he couldn't give us any information in writing. He said the company don't give out leaflets or brochures and don't have a website. That was what made me say no.Mummy to beautiful 5yr old girl and a gorgeous 1yr old boy:D0

Haha! Thanks for the responses!
They did ask to see bills with the tarriff but I said no. The one day I had off work in ages, they were probably knocking for weeks before they got an answer.0
