Max-mins in calcs behind conversion units to kWh
I have been given a user's gas consumption figures in units and kWh, which were provided by his supplier. I would have expected the net multiples of all the conversion elements to be ~11.2.
However when I divided each consumption in kWh by the quoted meter based consumption record rather than ~11.2 the range was much greater at ~8.5 to ~15.5.
Is that possible, even if some of the meter reading periods were short; 7 to 14 days?

No not possible!
The only variable is the calorific value and that only has a small effect, Assuming they are metric gas units, it should always be in the range 1 gas unit = 11.0 to 11.5kWh0 -
This sounds very wrong. The only variable in the conversion [as opposed to constant] is the calorific value of the gas. I don't think I have ever seen this vary by as much as + or - 1%Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
