Yesterday my bank telephoned me for feedback on my local branch. I was honest with them and said I had waited only 5 minutes to get served and gave a fair response to the questions.

They asked if I had anything I would like to add so I told them I was in the process of transferring my direct debits with a view to closing my account as they would not provide me with a mortgage and the only loan rate they offered me was 24.9%. which was an insult as they knew me and I have since been given a mortgage at a very good rate from the Leeds and was also offered one from Nationwide.

Today I went into the branch and the superviser said are you Mrs **** and I said yes. she then said I was going to phone you as you have given us a 0 rating and we are never rude to customers!!!! this was said from behind the woman who was serving me while she stood at the side of her. She then said I will close your account now. I said I have another account that matures soon and will be closing it then not today.

She then said we gave you the right information as you are self employed and don't have books!!!! When I tried to answer that she ignored me and walked off in a huff.

I am livid at her telling my business through the glass while she stood behind the woman serving me. I think its now fair to say their customer service definately warrants a 0 rating.

Silly woman has just confirmed my thoughts on Lloyds

Did you really give them a zero rating because you once had to wait five minutes or was that an incorrect rating set up by the person who telephoned you?

I can imagine why they were upset if you rated the branch zero. That would imply a truly disastrous level of service.

That is not what I said please read it again.

I did not do any rating I said fair to the questions and to one about the waiting time being only 5 minutes (which is fair) I have waited up to half an hour at busy times just that on my last visit (the one she asked about) it was 5 minutes.

The ratings she gave me to choose from were poor, fair or good. I said fair.

If I was asked today about my last visit it would be poor.

    That's what I was asking.

So you did not rate them zero. That was something done by the person who telephoned you.

Yes thats right. I actually like the people in the branch.

My complaint was that Lloyds were not giving me, a loyal customer a service that I required, which both the Leeds and Nationwide did.
