Has anyone opened a account in India before?
I am a british citizen and going out there in a few months and want to open a account in India.
Any advice or info would be great

I would try with Citibank as you can do Global Transfers for free from UK, not sure if there is a small charge for transferring from India.
There is normally a minimum account opening and maintaining balance in some countries with Citibank.
