Train Station Car Park: £80 Charge Notice CP Plus

Hi,
I park in the same train station car park most working days.
Yesterday I did not get round to making the payment via RingGo on my phone till 1000 due to the battery being flat.
I have received a ticket saying that between 0912 - 0932 there was no ticket on my car.
Technically this is correct but from 1000 onwards there was two days paid via RingGo without me knowing a ticket was issued.
I have read the sticky by Crabman and the advise seems to be just forget it and do not pay or appeal.
Would this be correct in this situation?
Regards,
CAG_8888

Steady on, railway station car parks can be an exception if the ticket cites contravention of a railway by-law.
There are others in the forum who know more.
I expect one of them will be along shortly.0 -

Steady on there tonto. You dont know the full story here and you dont know whether they are going to prosecute under the railway byelaws which they are quite able to do and ignoring is never the right course of action to tell people cos they could get into trouble.
OP - What does the ticket state? Is it under the railway byelaws?one of the famous 5

Even then its not certain to be a real ticket, many ppc's quote rail byelaw 14 to frighten the driver. It only matters when they say that you will be prosecuted under bylaw14 via the Magistrates court, anything else is safe to ignore.geordieracer wrote: »Steady on there tonto. OP who is the ticket from?
How do they say appeal?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

Which is exactly why i asked what the ticket said on it. Just telling someone to ignore it straight away could lead to someone getting in trouble and is not the best thing to say without full facts on the ticket.one of the famous 5

The ticket is from CP Plus Limited.
No reference to the Railway By Laws and is states the following...
In accordance with the conditions of the contract relating to parking as detailed on the signs, a charge of £80 is now due for the following reason: 03 ‘Not Displaying a Valid Pat And Display Ticket, Permit or Voucher’.0 -
And does it just say that any 'appeal' has to go to CP Plus, probably with a PO Box address?
If so then it's just a fake PCN with no enforceability. Ignore it, DO NOT appeal, do not give them any information or response to any letters. See the top thread for what to expect in terms of letters from debt collectors, they are nothing and very easy to ignore when you know it's all hot air.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That is correct. The appeal procedure is in writing only within seven days of the notice being issued to the following address: -
CP Plus Ltd
PO Box 14836
London
NW3 1WT
Now this is all a little strange to me but does this all imply that if someone wanted to, theoretically they could not pay at all for any parking, i.e the standard daily charge, and then just ignore the charge notice?
I am in no fashion advocating this behaviour and I will continue to pay the standard daily charge!0 -

Nobody on here advocates that. The car-park operator is entitled to ask for a reasonable amount for being able to park. This pays for the upkeep of the car-park. What we object to is the unreasonable "penalties" demanded by these companies for breaking their silly rules. Also, by paying the fee to park, you are maintaining the moral high ground. You are paying what is asked for, with the proviso that you won't pay sums of money that in no way represent the actual material loss suffered by the land-owner in the event those rules are broken. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
