Piano playing neighbour

I don't think complaining helps. Another vote for get yourself an instrument! Violin or drums - great idea
I do find that piano playing is a 5 minute wonder. Friends of mine have had lessons, or have a piano at home, but unless they uncover some hidden genius talent, it's generally not something that lasts for long. If they're really only at the 'happy birthday' (badly!) stage, give it another few months (sorry!) and it'll stop.

Get a violin. Any violin will do, doesn't matter if you can play it or not.
At 7am, when they're playing piano, stand in the room below and draw the bow over the strings, any which way you want. Don't even bother to tune the violin. Hopefully this will send them a message......
Noooo, go for a trumpet! I have one, and the noise carries SO far!! Beginner trumpet players sound even worse than beginner violinists!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Haha remembering Sonia in 'enders lol
Or even just start singing along to Happy Birthday every time they play - top of yer lungs, mind. Now that would be funny. I'm going for that option now
You could always just buy tonnes of birthday cards and put one through the door each time it's played

As a Scot I'm going to recommend bagpipes-surely they cannot be beaten for the above purpose?0
